This page is an ongoing work-in-progress. New sources will be added as I discover them. The goal is to compile a list of resources that allow for a deep exploration of textile and craft history. 

I recommend everyone who has even a slight interest in the textiles in society to read The Fabric of Civilization: How Textiles Made the World by Virginia Postrel. It is an incredible story of how our most important technologies are textiles. If you can't get your hands on the book, I would then recommend watching this video with Virginia Postrel and Hank Green.
